
User Terms – Digital Payment Service
These terms and conditions apply to your use of the digital payment service (“the Payment Service”) when receiving assistance from Viking Assistance Group AS (“Viking”/ “We”), organisation number 998 858 690.
These terms apply only to the Payment Service. The terms and conditions governing the actual roadside assistance are outlined in your agreement with Viking, your insurance policy, or your membership terms (“the Terms”). The Terms are available on our website or via your insurance company.
The Payment Service is provided on an “as is”-basis. Viking does not guarantee availability or uninterrupted access to the Payment Service.
Payments are processed through the payment platform of Nets Cards Processing A/S (“Nets”). By accepting these terms, you authorize Nets to charge your payment method for the amount specified in the Terms. The specific terms and fees related to payment processing are governed by Nets’ own terms and conditions. Viking reserves the right to change or add payment service providers at any time.
You acknowledge that you do not have a right of withdrawal once assistance has been ordered from Viking.
If you authorise a payment by mistake, for instance, if you were not the person in need of assistance or not liable for payment, We will refund the amount, provided you did not participate in ordering or engaging Viking in a manner that implies responsibility for payment. Viking reserves the right to evaluate refund requests based on available information.
If you have been charged an incorrect amount, We will refund any overpayment.
When you request assistance, use the Payment Service, or receive an SMS from us, Viking collects necessary personal data, including your name, phone number, email address, and the registration number of the relevant vehicle. More information about
how and why We process your personal data, and your rights, can be found in our privacy policy.
The payment process is carried out by Nets, which acts as the data controller for any personal data it processes during payment transactions. Viking does not receive personal data from Nets. Nets’ processing of personal data is governed by Net's own privacy policy.
You are responsible for using the Payment Service in accordance with Viking’s and the payment provider’s terms. In case of any breach of these terms, applicable law, or any illegal or unauthorised use of the Payment Service, you are liable to compensate and indemnify Viking and/or the payment provider for any loss or damage arising as a result.
Viking disclaims, to the extent permitted by mandatory law, any liability for damages arising from use of the Payment Service or payment processing by Nets. Viking’s total liability is limited to documented, direct losses, up to a maximum of ten thousand Norwegian kroner (NOK 10,000). Viking is not liable for consequential damages, loss of profit, anticipated savings, or other indirect losses.
Liability related to the roadside assistance services themselves is governed by the Terms.
Viking may unilaterally amend these terms and conditions. Updated versions will be published on our website. If you do not accept one or more of the amended terms, you may not continue using the Payment Service.
If you are dissatisfied with a completed payment or other aspects of the Payment Service, please contact us so that We can attempt to resolve the issue immediately or advise you on how to have your case reviewed.
